Nathan Sandmaier Becomes Fourth Superior Controls Employee to Attain Licensed Professional Engineer Status

SEABROOK, N.H., Feb. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Superior Controls, Inc., a leading Life Sciences control system integrator of custom industrial automation and IT solutions with 140 employees on both the east and west coasts, today announced that employee Nathan Sandmaier, P.E., recently earned his professional engineer's license in the State of New Hampshire. Sandmaier, a senior project engineer, joins Taggart McCormick, P.E., Anthony Whitesell, P.E., and Gary Powell, P.E., as the fourth licensed professional engineer at Superior Controls.

In his current role, Sandmaier uses his extensive knowledge of process automation to design control systems for customers in the life science manufacturing industries. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Sandmaier holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He served as a summer intern at O'Brien & Gere and at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals before joining Superior Controls in 2011.

Taggart McCormick, P.E., is a project and group engineering manager at the company's Seabrook, New Hampshire office. McCormick is a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy where he studied power engineering technology and electronics. Prior to joining Superior Controls in 2010, McCormick worked with Progress Energy, FPL Energy and CDM Constructors. McCormick became a licensed professional engineer in 2011.

Anthony Whitesell, P.E., is a senior project engineer at Superior Controls' Seabrook, New Hampshire office. Whitesell holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and became a licensed professional engineer in 2016. Before joining Superior Controls in 2004, Whitesell worked with Sunrise Labs, Integrated Robotics, and Allegro Microsystems.

Gary Powell, P.E., is the vice president of Banks Integration Group, a Superior Controls company. Powell has been with Banks Integration since 2004, and is based in the company's Vacaville, CA office. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Powell earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and achieved his professional engineer's license in the State of California. Before joining Banks Integration, Powell worked with Pacific Gas and Electric, and Matrix Technologies.
