The event will not only celebrate national and local kids, but also raise money to support local youth development programs through Camp Fire Heartland.
Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® was founded in 1997 to activate millions of adults across the U.S. to write a young person in their life and tell them what makes them incredible.
"In my Hall of Fame induction speech, I made a point to say each man and woman has an opportunity to impact human beings as they walk through life," says Will Shields, former Kansas City Chiefs player and Pro Football Hall of Fame member. "Those opportunities start when we're young, and they can leave a lasting impact as we grow. Please take the opportunity of Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® to talk to a young person in your life. Tell them the impact they've made on you and how important they are."
Camp Fire's 2019 Absolutely Incredible Kid Day is proudly presented by Premiere Sponsor SHAZAM!, in theaters April 5. About SHAZAM!
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. David F. Sandberg directs New Line Cinema's SHAZAM!, starring Zachary Levi as the titular DC character and Asher Angel as his younger self, Billy Batson, who, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—goes from streetwise 14-year-old foster kid to adult Super Hero. Still a kid at heart, he'll need to master his newfound super-powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana, played by Mark Strong.
SHAZAM! also stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews. Produced by Peter Safran, the film is firmly set in the DC universe but with his own distinctly fun, family-centric tone, with a screenplay by Henry Gayden, story by Gayden and Darren Lemke, based on characters from DC. Shazam was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck. Jeffrey Chernov, Christopher Godsick, Walter Hamada, Geoff Johns, Adam Schlagman, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Dwayne Johnson served as executive producers.
Set for release on April 5, 2019, SHAZAM! will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in theaters and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action, language, and suggestive material. http://www.shazammovie.com
