Taking place over a five-week period from from September 26th, 2019 to October 24th, 2019, the REM® Online Workshop will host a single review session each week to familiarize attendees with required topics for becoming a certified environment professional. These include the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and more. Designed to prepare attendees for the REM® Registered Environmental Manager Certification Examination, this online workshop allows busy professionals to receive classroom-style instruction from the comfort of their homes or offices.

Considered the highest professional certification by the NREP℠, a Registered Environmental Manager certification designates professionals capable of managing major environmental health and safety projects and programs. These projects may include, but are not limited to:
- environmental auditing
- hazardous materials management and transportation
- environmental real estate assessment
A widely recognized designation, the Registered Environmental Manger certification has received recognition from organizations and agencies such as the U.S. Postal Service, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service; Resolution Trust Corporation, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Energy, Amtrak, State of Alabama, and more.
Professionals desiring Registered Environmental Manager certification must have a bachelor's degree in an environmentally related discipline. This may include physical, biological, and health sciences, engineering and environmental majors, and other related fields of study. Applicants should also have a minimum of five years of direct work in the fields of environmental engineering, health, science, or management. Professionals may substitute three years of approved work experience for one year of academic education.

An accrediting nonprofit, NREP℠ is the largest organization in its field and is recognized by governmental bodies such as the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The application fee for the REM® Online Workshop is $150.00, and the workshop fee is $495.00.
