National Association of Professional Women Inducts Dr. Juanita Mora, M.D., CEO at Chicago Allergy Center, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. Juanita Mora as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Juanita with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her work is inspiring and invaluable at a time of changing demographics within the US.”
With extensive experience in the area of healthcare, Dr. Mora, CEO of Chicago Allergy Center, has been able to use her extensive knowledge in allergy and immunology to help others. “Albeit I’ve had much success, the greatest achievement of my career was opening the doors of the Chicago Allergy Center on October 11, 2014,” she said.
Dr. Mora remembers when her love for medicine first began: “As the oldest of five in the first Mexican American generation of my family, I’d often accompany my mother to the doctor’s office to serve as an interpreter for her. It was then, as a child, that I began to dream of being a doctor, helping people and being of service.”
With her desire to be a productive and helpful individual within the community, Dr. Mora hopes to grow her business into a comprehensive food allergy center that has as many resources available for the attainment of health and wellness related to allergy and immunology. Dr. Mora believes that teaching an individual about potential solutions to allergies is just as important as treating them.
Having graduated with her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Mora’s continual dedication to her profession shows in the work she does and the time she volunteers. She is currently sponsoring two local softball teams, and one Saturday a month is dedicated solely to community outreach.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, tools and benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
