National Association of Professional Women Inducts Luella Hill-Dudley, CEO/Founder of Sistahs With Ink Foundation, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 25, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Luella Hill-Dudley as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. A gifted writer and award-winning poet, Luella Hill-Dudley is CEO and Founder of Sistahs With Ink Foundation, an online multicultural organization for female entertainers and a publishing company. She is the author of a number of books, including "Reflection of My Mind," which she self-published, "Solid As A Rock I Stand" and "Message In My Pen." Sistahs With Ink Foundation has also published two anthologies of poetry written by Foundation members, as well a book of poetry "Never Enough Love," by Arthenia Richard and "Blackballed Twice," by Mike Norris, a former Major League Baseball Pitcher.
Ms. Hill-Dudley created Sistahs With Ink to give women—and men—a safe place to heal through poetry. “The Foundation’s motto is ‘We don’t wait on opportunities, we are busy creating them,’” said Ms. Hill-Dudley. In her leadership role, she wears many hats, including guiding and advising members as she helps to make their dreams come true, organizing and producing events where new artists can showcase their talents, recruiting new members and mentoring.
“My role is to implement projects that allow members or artists to think outside of the box,” she added. “I am creating an Artist Development Program. We also have Sistahs With Ink Internet Broadcast for members who want to learn how to become radio talk show hosts.” Events have been held at venues around the U.S., including Barnes & Noble stores, Richmond Auditorium and Railroad Book Depot in California.
Highly resourceful, Ms. Hill-Dudley has excellent communication skills and loves to motivate and inspire others. She hopes to continue to grow the Foundation. Its quarterly internet project helps to bring more members together across the U.S. and she hopes to expand nationally and internationally. “I love to bring hope to those who feel hopeless or who stop believing their dreams can come true,” she said. “I feel art is like medicine for the soul.”
