National Association of Professional Women Inducts Mai Kazakos-Resh, M.Ed., Director of Operations, Mall Malisow & Cooney, PC, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Mai Kazakos-Resh as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Mai with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
Ms. Kazakos-Resh is the Director of Operations at Mall Malisow & Cooney, PC, a highly recognized estate planning, special needs and elder law firm. Prior to choosing this career path, she spent 20 rewarding years diversifying her portfolio and mastering her skills in varying roles in the IT industry.
“I literally ‘fell into’ the IT world,” said Ms. Kazakos-Resh. “I was courted by EDS in the 1980s due to a specialized skillset I had that was needed for a major project on the GM account, where I worked for over 16 years.”
From there, Ms. Kazakos-Resh joined Cranbrook Educational Community as a Consultant and was then appointed Chief Technology Officer. When her position was suddenly eliminated in 2009, she was brought on as Chief Operations Officer at Goodman Acker, PC, a law firm specializing in accident and personal injury. With her broad, multifaceted skills and extensive management experience, she soon realized the unexpected career change was a perfect fit.
Today, at her third law firm as Director of Operations, Ms. Kazakos-Resh uses her proven skills in strategic planning, program management and creative and innovative solutions to build and enhance operations. With her hands-on guidance and seasoned expertise, she works closely with the financial, HR, technology and strategy departments to guarantee efficiency and bring their unique talents to their fullest potential.
“I liken myself to the conductor of an orchestra or the producer of a play,” she said. “I enjoy remaining behind the scenes while identifying the incredible talents of others and helping them realize their successes.”
