National Association of Professional Women Names Kristin Metzel, Certified Registered Agent, Brendanwood Financial Services, a VIP Professional Woman of the Year
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (PRWEB) October 18, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Kristin Metzel as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in financial services. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Kristin into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Kristin Metzel made the decision to pursue a career in financial services because she wanted to help older individuals better prepare for the future. “I saw a lot of confusion and need for assistance in the financial industry, especially for seniors and that growing population,” she said. “My father was in the insurance industry for several years and he encouraged me for years to explore this profession.”
In the industry for more than a year, Ms. Metzel moved to the brokerage side a few months ago and recently joined Brendanwood Financial Services. As a Certified Registered Agent who specializes in working with seniors, her responsibilities include developing relationships with her clients and helping them successfully achieve their financial goals.
“I’m licensed in life and health insurance, annuities and securities,” Ms. Metzel explained. “I meet with people to help them achieve or set goals for their life. This entails everything from birth to death. They tell me what is important to them: retirement goals, travel, leaving a legacy, whatever they want their life to look like and I work with them to figure out how we can make that happen.”
Although talking to people about their future often means having to ask some tough questions, Ms. Metzel is rewarded when she can set people on the right path. “Getting them on track to their desired outcome and helping them achieve it is amazing,” she said. Ms. Metzel plans on acquiring additional certifications to help her better assist seniors and hopes to continue to develop relationships and network to achieve continued professional success.
