Firm expands its finance, investment, and operations functions with three new hires and a promotion.
WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NaviMed Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm based in the Washington, DC area, is pleased to announce the appointment of Holly Atallah as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Compliance, and the promotion of Bennett Mears to Principal. The firm also welcomes Charlie Mangum as Senior Associate and Savannah Kovac as Executive Assistant and Operations Coordinator.
At NaviMed, Ms. Atallah leads financial operations and strategy, including fund finance, valuation, and investor reporting, and directs the compliance program. She brings 25 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. She joins NaviMed from BroadOak Capital Partners, a direct investment and M&A firm, where as Director of Finance and Operations she oversaw finance and compliance for the firm's investment and broker-dealer entities. Ms. Atallah previously served as a Director at Palmer Financial and as a Vice President at England & Co. She holds a BS in Economics with concentrations in finance and management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Mears joined NaviMed in 2019 and serves on the Boards of Directors of Advantage Surgical & Wound Care, BrentCare Behavioral Health, Infusive, Prime Therapy, and Vitoria. His previous work includes Argos Health, Lucent Health, CiTRUS Health Group, and the CM Group where he served on the Board of Directors. As Principal, Mr. Mears takes on a broader role across NaviMed's investments, identifying and partnering with differentiated lower middle-market healthcare companies and working alongside portfolio company management. He holds a BS with a concentration in Finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Mangum brings more than four years of private equity and transaction advisory experience in healthcare, including thesis development and transaction diligence. He holds a BA in Economics and Government from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Ms. Kovac brings eight years of office and operations management experience and supports the Managing Directors and coordinates firm operations.
