VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Aug. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Navy SEAL Foundation has announced the appointment of a former U.S. Navy SEAL operator to the charity's management team.
"We are excited to announce Chris Irwin, BUD/S class 221, is joining the Navy SEAL Foundation as Director of Development for the West Coast Region," Rear Adm. (Ret) Garry J. Bonelli, Chairman of the Board, Navy SEAL Foundation.
"In his time as president of Kill Cliff, Chris was an avid supporter of NSF for several years. Chris now brings his superb strategic insight, interpersonal skills, and presentation talent to our staff where he'll help develop and communicate the case for supporting NSF's mission."
In his new position, Irwin will work with the development team, regional leadership volunteers, senior staff and national board members to advance fundraising goals for individuals, corporations and foundations.
The Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. Assisted by a small professional staff and hundreds of volunteers across the country, the NSF Board guides the philosophy and direction of the Foundation in the course of fulfilling its primary mission.
