NCES and CoachCare Announce Partnership to Provide Digital Nutrition Resources for Clinics and Their Patients
NCES, a health and nutrition resource company, will collaborate with technology startup CoachCare to customize a digital, dynamic content repository to support the contemporary coaching needs for health clinics and their patients.
NCES will collaborate with CoachCare to customize a dynamic, nutritional content repository to support the contemporary coaching needs for health clinics and their patients. The content will be available through CoachCare's custom-branded physician dashboard and patient mobile apps, and will offer a combined health coaching and self-learning solution for clinics and patients. The content will target the impact of nutrition and healthy activities necessary for improving overall quality of life for patients, and will focus attention on chronic diseases, including obesity and pain management.
"We find that patient's really want to be proactive when it comes to their programs, their coaching and their health," says Carol Duke, Director of Marketing for CoachCare. "One obvious benefit of providing nutritional and other educational content directly into our healthcare mobile apps is that it can help patients stay motivated in their programs when they are away from the clinic or are not getting direct coaching."
CoachCare will now support a library of general nutrition and exercise education that patients can review any time of day through their mobile apps, along with education related to more specific health issues they might be experiencing, including morbid obesity, sugar intolerance, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, renal failure and more.
"Many chronic conditions are directly impacted by nutrition and lifestyle choices, many of which are life-long habits that must be modified," says Carrie Mark, NCES Registered Dietitian. "We believe CoachCare is a fantastic way to reach patients who are actively trying to modify their lifestyles and be successful in their programs."
NCES products ensure patients get the most out of education, counseling and daily health maintenance by creating the critical connections in behavior and symptom control. NCES products target the teaching and educational needs for health professionals working directly with patients, as well as take-home products for patients who require ongoing reminders and behavior management support.
All NCES solutions are simple and easy to introduce and solutions can be implemented throughout the healthcare setting. "We make nutrition education and behavior management easy," says Chris Jackson, CEO of NCES. "NCES products are high quality and receive great responses in satisfaction surveys."
An official partnership launch will take place at Obesity Week in Las Vegas, NV on November 4-8. Stop by CoachCare's booth #641 and learn more about the partnership here.
