SAN DIEGO, Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Northcentral University launched a month-long initiative – "Give. Receive. Grow." – to provide daily and weekly scholarship awards to new students. The program will award a new student a scholarship every weekday, excluding holidays, beginning November 6 of this year. The program will culminate in the announcement of a full-tuition scholarship to be awarded on Dec. 5, 2018.
"We know that November is often a time of reflection and goal-setting, and achieving your aspirations through graduate education can be an important part of that process," says Russ Natoce, NCU's Chief Marketing Officer. "The 'Give. Receive. Grow.' program is designed to help students better their lives through education, and in turn enrich their communities and improve their futures."
Beginning the first week of November, a $1,500 scholarship winner will be selected every weekday, except Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Additionally, a $5,000 award winner will be selected every week. Finally, on December 5, a full-tuition scholarship will be given to a new NCU student. Winners will be announced daily on NCU's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/NorthcentralU).
To be eligible to receive funds, applicants must plan to begin their studies at NCU on or before Nov. 26, 2018, meet all relevant admissions criteria, and submit the "Give. Receive. Grow." application questionnaire via NCU's website at http://www.ncu.edu/scholarship-event. Current NCU students, as well as applicants to bachelor's or certificate programs, are not eligible to participate in the "Give. Receive. Grow." program.
Award recipients will be selected at random by the Northcentral University Scholarship Committee, a group of faculty and non-faculty staff members at NCU who will administer the awards process.
"Students from all walks of life look to education as an opportunity to grow and aspire to greater heights. With this program in place, we hope it's the impetus to help aspiring students take the first step toward continuing their education," said Dr. David Harpool, NCU's Provost.
The "Give. Receive. Grow." initiative is the latest chapter in NCU's tradition of scholarships to remove financial barriers for working professionals seeking a higher degree. For more information, including terms and conditions, and to enter, please visit http://www.ncu.edu/scholarship-event.
