I strongly encourage the community to come out on September 17 and walk with us so we can make the cure a reality.
Provo, UT (PRWEB) July 11, 2016
Realtor Ned Chidester, of Weichert Realtors at The Rockies, recently announced he will be participating and sponsoring a Team in the JDRF One Walk on September 17, 2016, in Provo, UT. The goal of the walk is to raise awareness of diabetes and funds to find a cure for a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
“Living with T1D is a constant balancing act,” said Chidester, whose 20-year-old son has suffered from T1D since the age of 12. “Those who have it must regularly monitor their blood-sugar level, inject or continually infuse insulin through a pump, and carefully balance their insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night. I strongly encourage the community to come out on September 17 and walk with us so we can make the cure a reality.”
JDRF One Walk has a single goal: creating a world without T1D. Money raised from the walk will help JDRF fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until no one has to fear developing the disease.
The JDRF One Walk begins at 9 a.m. on September 17 at the Shops at Riverwoods, 4801 N. University Avenue in Provo. To donate and support the walk, please visit www2.jdrf.org/site/TR?fr_id=6370&pg=team&team_id=212931.
