Located at 11 W Patrick Street in historic Downtown Frederick, the sixth-generation jeweler is known for their striking pieces, jewelry education, and passion for helping others.
Amanda Coleman-Phelps, Nelson Coleman Jewelers' owner and CEO, joined the company in February 2004. Coleman-Phelps is the visionary behind Nelson Coleman Jewelers' evolving culture and inviting environment. They chose Frederick for their newest location because of the vibrant downtown atmosphere and overall growth of the area in recent years. "As a sixth-generation jeweler that has been in business for over 165 years, we have been touched by the warm welcome we've received from the vibrant and gracious community of Downtown Frederick. Their dedication to helping others happens through The Chris Coleman Enrichment Program. The company's charitable giving arm is named after the current CEO's father, who retired from the company in 2021. When any customer makes a purchase at Nelson Coleman, 10% of full-purchase priced items is given to an organization of the customer's choice. Whether it's a non-profit, local school, animal rescue, or homeless shelter, where their clients' hearts are is where the jeweler's donation goes.
