SANTA ANA, Calif., May 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Network of Executive Women is proud to celebrate our Southern California Region's milestone 10th anniversary. NEW, whose mission is advancing all women, is composed of more than 13,000 Network of Executive Women members throughout the United States and Canada and continues to grow through our regions. In 2009, Sue Klug, Caroline Cotton Nakken and Amy Oates Fitzgerald founded the Southern California chapter. The SoCal Region has since grown to 1,100 NEW members. For its 10-year anniversary, we invite members and non-members to celebrate SoCal's commitment to being champions of gender equality and advancing women.
"NEW is led –– and driven –– by member volunteers. Regional officers are critical stakeholders who lead committee teams and create engagement activities within their local markets that support advancing all women. SoCal's team diversity and their connection within the community make them an amazing force for change. They have created value for sponsors to support them locally through various creative events ¬–– like their renowned silent auction," said Julie Basile, NEW VP of regions, community and marketing.
The NEW SoCal chapter's 10-year anniversary event on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, is an important opportunity to show your professional commitment to advancing women in your community. Hosted at the Bowers Museum from 4:00-8:30 p.m. PST, we will honor the chapter's founding members; keynote speaker Tiffany White of the Los Angeles Rams will share inspiration for workplace transformation; and attendees will have a chance network with some of the most forward-thinking business leaders in the region.
"We [the SoCal chapter] have focused our efforts on curating events that not only meet the needs and interests of our members but also support anyone navigating their personal and professional development. Our sights are set high on helping our members and their companies develop ideas and solutions for career advancement," said Miriam Welch, regional officer, grocer sales manager for Albertsons/Von's and Shelby Report's Woman Executive of the Year.
