Network Security Veteran John Grady Joins Enterprise Strategy Group
Latest New Hire Will Further Expand ESG's Robust Cybersecurity Practice
MILFORD, Mass., Oct. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), a leading IT analyst, research, and strategy firm, today announced the addition of John Grady, who joins the firm as an analyst in the organization's cybersecurity practice. Leveraging more than 15 years of IT vendor and analyst experience, John will focus specifically on network security to help clients identify and quantify key market trends to facilitate data-driven business decisions.
Prior to ESG, John spent four years at Symantec, where he developed market insights in support of product, go-to-market, and executive stakeholders. John also previously worked as an analyst at research firm IDC covering network, web, and email protection, leading initial research initiatives on then-emerging areas such as advanced threat prevention and DDoS. In this capacity, he focused on infrastructure channels, assessing and advising on the go-to-market strategies of IT vendors.
"Having been on both the analyst and vendor side of the cybersecurity market, I've seen firsthand how colleagues and clients alike respect ESG's cybersecurity team," Grady said. "The company has an established track record of forward-thinking research, which I will continue with our coverage of elastic cloud gateways (ECGs). We expect to see ECGs quickly emerge as a core network security requirement to address the proliferation of cloud, the changing nature of branch and remote access, and the fundamental reshaping of the perimeter."
"Our cybersecurity team has steadily grown over the last few years, and we're proud to be leaders in the field," said Doug Cahill, ESG's Cybersecurity Group Director and Senior Analyst. "Time and again, market research, including our own annual Technology Spending Intentions Survey, reveals that the number one strategic technology priority for businesses is strengthening their cybersecurity posture. To adapt to the cloud era, most enterprises are in the process of retooling their cybersecurity programs, which has been the driving factor in our efforts to expand ESG's cybersecurity practice. John has the right experience and the dual perspective needed to help our clients during this period of transition in the cybersecurity market, and we're proud to welcome him to the team."
