The NevEarth Fund and NevHouse have figured out a solution. "We’ve solved the expanding housing crises in remote and hard to build locations" says CEO Nev Hyman of NevEarth. This housing problem existed prior to the Covid-19 virus, but no company has been able to address it in such an innovative way and operating a qualified opportunity fund allows us to offer specialized tax incentives to potential capital gain investors. “With the public markets experiencing such a sell off in the short term, a massive amount of new capital gain investors are now able to take advantage of investing into the NevEarth Fund,” said David Sillaman CEO of Eazy Do It Inc, the fund developer. The Fund will invest in NevHouse proprietary building technology enabling individuals, real estate developers and owners, cities and municipalities around the United States to build single-family housing to meet their own housing demands.
The Housing Problem
The United Nations estimates that there are at least 1.3 billion people worldwide with inadequate shelter and just this week an article from the Los Angeles Times quoted “California already faced a shortage of more than 1 million homes for low-income families before the novel coronavirus hit. And now many advocates, economists and politicians say the pandemic is only going to make the situation worse.”
The Environmental Problem
Globally, we’ve produced 8.3 billion tons of plastics that have or will eventually become waste. This plastic waste can be found in every remote location around the world including the bottom of our oceans. Studies have shown that waste plastics are having a negative effect on animals, fish, and plant life that are damaging the ocean bacteria that produces 10% of the oxygen that we breathe. Plastics are designed so efficiently that it takes up to 400 years to degrade and it is estimated that 88% of all plastics ever produced are still in the environment. These major global issues continue to get worse, year after year. It’s time to create change for a brighter, cleaner future for our planet.
The NevHouse Solution
The Fund’s unique NevHouse building solution and holistic approach to developing communities means we can solve the world’s housing problem, whether in emerging or developed nations, or here locally. NevHouse takes the plastic waste that we throw away and turns it into modular housing, granny flats, eco-studios, school classrooms, medical clinics, community centers and other structures.
This solution means that communities can be built quickly and effectively and in a sustainable fashion. Each home can be constructed on site in 5 days or less, restoring hope and dignity for those who are in desperate need - without delay.
Nevhouse has a positive impact on housing, education, environment, jobs and the economy. Once the company reaches scale, NevHouse vision is to house humanity away from the plastic waste that gets thrown away and this becomes less far reaching and more a reality. NevHouse structures are affordable, safe, eco-friendly and easy to clean and maintain.
Every Nev House removes tons of waste plastic from the ocean and environment. To date, NevHouse has provided its unique housing solution in the Australasian / South Pacific Region. Through the NevEarth OZ Fund, we will establish manufacturing facilities to deliver homes to thousands in the United States and its Territories.
WHY AN OPPORTUNITY FUND
Under the program, an investor can defer capital gains taxes until tax year 2026 if realized gains are invested in a Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund within 180 days of the sale. Deferred gains owed are decreased by 10% after a five year hold period. Additionally, all capital gains taxes are eliminated after ten years of holding an investment into an Opportunity Zone Fund. Note: Investments into a qualified opportunity funds have to be from capital gains to realize the ten year elimination of taxes.
