Due to shortages during the height of the pandemic, the 2021 model year update of the Nissan Pathfinder was skipped entirely, and though 2020 models were still available throughout late 2020 and early 2021, the new fifth-generation 2022 Pathfinder marks the return of the Pathfinder.
The horsepower remains unchanged from the 2020 model with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, but with a new 9-speed automatic transmission replacing the CVT of the previous generation. Some of the other new features include a redesigned intelligent 4x4 system, a captain's chair option for the second row, an available 10.8-inch head-up display and more improvements.
