From the moment she was born, Beulla was surrounded with love. As an infant, doctors broke the news to her mom that she had brain damage and would never walk. While the author was in an incubator, her mother talked to her continuously to encourage her to fight. With the help of her "wonderfully supportive family," Beulla learned to walk and is able to live a "normal" life. In sharing her story, she also recalls the pain of seeing her parents' divorce as well as family tragedies. Blessed with a mother who fought for her through prayer, today, the author lives each day waking up thanking God.
