Industry thought leader Matt Landau has partnered with PointCentral, the leader in enterprise-scale property automation, to produce 'Tiny Architects,' an Unlocked Podcast series that traverses the globe to track down the most exciting vacation rental professionals and examine what makes them so innovative.
The 'Tiny Architects' reference is a nod to explorer Charles Darwin's description of the coral reef ecosystem, in which a "myriad of tiny architects" possessed more innovation than anywhere on earth.
The series, which started October 15th, is the first podcast in the emerging vacation rental sector to step out of the studio and venture out into the field — with each of the 15 episodes being recorded in a different environment -- as diverse and unique as the vacation rental professionals themselves.
"We wanted to really up the ante for podcasts in our space," Landau says. "These people are innovating in their cars, elevators, on boats and inside laundry facilities, so that's where we decided to record our interviews. It seems funny, but an office environment sounds different in Savannah than it does in Italy. A guest checking in sounds different in Phoenix than it does in Bali. We wanted to embrace those nuances in order to tell more immersive stories."
