Authors hope to provide full clarity in how each parable is applied to modern life and help Christians grow in their love and knowledge of God
GREENVILLE, S.C., May 16, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- No study of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ is complete without an understanding of the parables He taught, yet many books only touch on a few well-known ones. "Keys to the Kingdom: Parables of Jesus" breaks this tradition, covering all 39 parables, and making them accessible to everyone.
In "Keys to the Kingdom: Parables of Jesus," co-authors Art Zacher and Doug Peterson explain the parables in a way readers can readily understand and apply to their own lives. Anyone can read and comprehend it and learn to use the lessons in today's world.
Zacher and Peterson present each parable in a simplified outline format in its historic setting, with the previous and following events noted. The authors reveal where Jesus spoke each parable, who His audience was, and what each one means, followed by questions to encourage discussions. Ideal for pastors, teachers, small groups and theological classes, each parable is also classified with other similar parables for easy reference and comparison.
"Too many other books on the subject, some by well-known authors, confuse readers and distort the messages of Jesus' parables," said Peterson. "When Jesus shared these stories, he challenged his audience to lead a godly life, and that challenge is still relevant today.
"Most books that cover parables generally cover the better-known ones. They avoid the difficult, challenging and obscure," added Zacher. "This book opens Jesus' parables and the principle within to help us mature in our daily walk with Jesus."
