WLA plays a key role in both developing and operating digitally transformed processes
LAFAYETTE, Colo., May 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Enterprise Management Associates (EMA™), a leading IT and data management analyst research and consulting firm, announced the release of its new research report, "From Scheduler to Automation Fabric for the Enterprise: Workload Automation Transformation in 2023," authored by Dan Twing, president and chief operations officer at EMA.
Digital transformation and the adoption of multi-cloud infrastructures have made automation more complex and critical than ever before. As organizations increasingly rely on complex, interconnected workflows and tools, workload automation (WLA) has emerged as a crucial component of IT automation frameworks.
To fully benefit from digital transformation, many organizations leverage WLA to configure and manage multi-cloud infrastructure and to orchestrate digitally transformed processes. However, few organizations are currently leveraging WLA in the DevOps process to speed delivery of digital transformation.
"It generally takes more automation to effectively deliver and support digital transformation," said Twing. "Enterprises that effectively leverage modern WLA as part of their digital transformation plans are more successful in delivering and operating digital processes."
Based on a survey of 406 IT and business executives, managers, and users, some of the key findings include:
- Just 21% of global enterprises achieved their initial digital transformation objectives, with 77% in the planning stages or underway with their first projects.
- WLA is used to connect and orchestrate disparate digital processes by 33% of respondents.
- For 81% of enterprises, digital transformation is requiring more from scheduling and workload automation solutions.
A detailed analysis of the research findings is available in the report, "From Scheduler to Automation Fabric for the Enterprise: Workload Automation Transformation in 2023."
EMA will reveal highlights from the report during the free June 21 webinar, "The Critical Role of Workload Automation in Achieving Successful Digital Transformation."
BMC, Broadcom, InfiniteDATA, and Redwood sponsored this independent research report.
