PRINCETON, N.J., June 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kepner-Tregoe (KT) is now offering two risk management workshops; Risk Mitigation for IT and Risk Mitigation for Operations. The one-day workshops offer practical, hands-on training that uses simulation-based learning to build fundamental risk mitigation skills. KT's structured methodology for Potential Problem Analysis is the foundation for building the capabilities and discipline to identify operational risk, anticipate potential problems, and put mitigating actions in place.
"As leaders in problem-solving, we are experiencing a growing need for addressing the entire life-cycle of problems—those that have happened and the ones that could happen," said Christoph Goldenstern, VP of Innovation at Kepner-Tregoe. "The costs of incurring incidents from avoidable risks are huge. Organizations must be prepared to respond to operational, safety or reputational problems stemming from change."
The benefits of improving your day-to-day risk mitigation discipline are far reaching according to Goldenstern. When organizations improve this capability, they are more likely to stay up and running while they respond to problems, minimizing productivity loss and damage. Preparing for risk helps to protect the reputation and assets of a company and can minimize the damage when problems occur. There are no risk-free environments. Organizations that anticipate and plan for risk are more agile and able to take rapid and effective action.
"Ultimately, we help companies to create a risk-conscious mindset. One that is "aware" and prepared to proactively manage risks associated with actions taken to protect assets whether it's maintenance, fixes, improvements, updates, turnarounds or changeovers."
The workshop uses simulation to help learners assess the quality of their risk mitigation plans against various likely scenarios and learn how to effectively protect their plans. Workshop participants also practice their skills in a simulated "risk challenge" that requires them to apply the concepts to their own real-life environment.
The target audience for this workshop includes service/support, change managers, reliability and maintenance engineers as well as those involved in shutdowns, turnarounds & outages (STOs) and project teams.
