NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In response to the pandemic, New York Wine Events has ramped up its efforts to introduce and connect wine, spirits, and food enthusiasts to diverse makers from around the globe. Since April, the organization has brought over 40 virtual tastings to thousands of viewers from around the country, extending internationally as well. The New York Wine Events Virtual Tasting series offers viewers an inside look at established and emerging wineries, distilleries, artisanal food makers, and brands in 30-40 minute live online weekly presentations.
The fun and informative series takes consumers behind the scenes, sharing first-hand personal stories of the products, process, and people behind a variety of wines, spirits, and specialty food and beverage products. Wine and food enthusiasts can sign up free of charge to view the numerous Virtual Tastings. The friendly, informative talks which enable viewers to ask questions via a chat button are accessible on Zoom, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live and are hosted in perpetuity on NewYorkWineEvents.com as well as on social media for new viewers to enjoy.
Featured wineries have included celebrated California makers including Cline Family Cellars, Chateau Montelena Winery, Ridge Vineyards, Foxen Vineyard & Winery, LangeTwins, and Goldschmidt Vineyards, New York's Jamesport Vineyards, Dr. Frank Wines, Sannino Vineyard, Lenz Winery, and Lieb Cellars, Italy's Tenuta di Lilliano, Nino Franco Winery, and D'Amico Wines, Stoller Family Estate in Oregon, Chateau De Berne in Provence, and dozens more. Viewers have been treated to a plethora of tasting profiles of domestic and imported selections receiving high ratings from Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator as well as national and international awards, and have also discovered the unique offerings of newer wineries. Emerging wine and food brands Amour Genève, Salsa Di Parma, and Stuyvesant Champagne have also been featured in the up-close-and-personal virtual series.
"The response to New York Wine Events' Virtual Tastings has been amazing since the beginning," notes Sam Kimball, founder of New York Wine Events and host of the ever-expanding series. "We wanted to create an experience that wine, spirits, and food lovers could enjoy from the safety and comfort of home, and viewership has grown to include nearly all 50 states plus international viewers. Additionally, we've seen increased interest from our audience in purchasing selections prior to the virtual tasting, so we provide links and promotional codes in advance. Viewers are also taking advantage of the special offers to purchase during the live broadcasts and after. It's rewarding to introduce and connect makers and consumers in this way, especially in these unprecedented times, to the benefit of all who participate. Our physical events have always been about discovery and interaction and our virtual platform continues in this vein."
Upcoming tastings include Broadbent Selections (Portugal), a food and wine pairing with Brooklyn's Kotti Berliner (Mediterranean cuisine), J Dusi Wines (Paso Robles, CA), Three Wine Company (Sonoma, CA), Jack Daniels (Lynchburg, TN), Blossom Water (Westwood, MA), and others.
