Let's have fun with poetry and reading. Read aloud and share the fun.
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (PRWEB) November 24, 2021
Every poem in “Cockleshell Cackles” (published by Archway Publishing) by Mary Don Beachy aims to inspire laughter and imagination while embracing old nursery rhymes and encouraging kids to create.
The book has three sections: “Garden of Giggles,” “Contrary Nursery Rhymes” and “Budding Poet Workspace.” Beachy’s original poetry is in the first part. Old-fashioned nursery rhymes fill the second, but they have the author’s own contrary endings added. Budding poets have a third section to interact with the book and demonstrate their own creativity by finishing partially-written poetry.
“I want children and their parents to reach for a book that looks like fun and can be read over and over,” Beachy says. “Let's have fun with poetry and reading. Read aloud and share the fun.”
