Acer America today announced that the Acer Revo One RL85, a sleek and stylish Windows 8.1 PC with powerful entertainment functionality, is available in the United States. Offering big power in a tiny chassis, the new Revo One RL85 offers consumers a practical device for enjoying movies, TV programs, slide shows and music as well as syncing devices to share data with the entire family.
Discrete, yet stylish, the elegant and tiny chassis measures just 4.19- (W) x 4.19- (D) x 6.1 (H)-inches and is designed to fit within any living environment, including tight spaces. It’s available in white and has a polished, glossy look with aesthetic curved lines and rounded corners. Although small, it provides all the essentials required in a quality PC and more. The 802.11ac(1) protocol-enabled Wi-Fi connection provides fast wireless capability that’s up to three times faster than traditional 802.11bgn-powered PCs.

Outfitted with the latest technology, it enables users to build their own personal data center. The models come with either a 60GB(2) solid state drive or a 1TB(2) hard disk drive and select models come with two expandable, hot swappable SATA expansion ports for adding up to two additional drives that are capable of containing up to 2TB each. The drives can be networked in RAID 0, 1 and 5 configurations for excellent data protection and backup.
Dynamic Audio and Vibrant Visuals
Thanks to the inclusion of both HDMI and Mini DisplayPort, the Revo One RL85 can support up to two displays with some models able to power 4K2K ultra HD monitors and 4K televisions. Plus, dynamic HD 7.1 surround sound delivers dynamic audio for riveting, lifelike home theater.
Four different models are available to suit an array of needs and budgets and include up to an Intel® Core® i5 processor, as much as 8GB memory and two configurations come with Intel® HD 5500 Graphics. An SD card slot is located on the top of the chassis for easy access and has a small door to protect it from dust and debris. Also on top are four LED lights to showcase the status of each hard drive and LAN. The I/O ports, which include the display ports as well as two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports are well-organized at the rear, so users can keep them hidden from view. Four rubber feet are designed to absorb more vibrations to protect the internal components inside, while a secure latch enables the chassis to be easily opened with a pen.
Acer BYOC™ Apps
The Revo One RL85 supports Acer Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC), which gives users full access to their files on all of their devices, even while away from home. As with all Acer devices currently shipping, the RL85 comes pre-loaded with everything customers need to use BYOC, an easy way to access all files, photos, music, and documents using any device from any manufacturer. The data is secure and private, since the personal cloud is powered by the customer’s own devices.
