Author, educator and meditation practitioner Julieann Alcorn, who writes under the pen name Marie-Celine Sinclair, has released “Lotus Laughing: Extraordinary Tales of Mystical and Inspirational Life Experiences.” The book, which fictionalizes Alcorn’s own experiences, follows 10 open-minded, spiritually aware friends as they gather to celebrate the New Year and, to pass the time, recount unusual or inexplicable experiences that changed the course of their lives forever.

Ranging from receiving a puzzling message in the form of a repeating numeric configuration to being called to attend a life-saving silent meditation retreat by a higher power, each story in “Lotus Laughing” demonstrates that there is more to the universe than what can be physically perceived. Alcorn was inspired to share these experiences to encourage readers to open their minds to life’s infinite possibilities and search inward for the deeper truths of their own existence.

“Born a sensitive seeker, my desire to ask questions and find answers to life’s mysteries has taken me to the feet of the Dalai Lama, to ten days of silent retreat under the guidance of teachers in ancient spiritual practices and to ashrams in the Himalayas,” said Alcorn. “My whole life has been guided by a journey into the revelations of the Self and, from there, to teach others what I have learned from instruction and practice.”

A thought-provoking collection of uplifting, profound and transformative tales, “Lotus Laughing” provides insight into the soul’s journey and challenges readers to delve into the depths of their inner selves.
