New App Helps Arizonans Save Money During COVID-19 Financial Crunch

Just Auto Insurance app allows drivers to pay as they drive for auto insurance

Just Auto Insurance, Inc. (Just) is launching its money-saving auto coverage in Arizona. The first of its kind insurance policy option, Just allows drivers to download an app, answer a few questions and receive coverage in minutes. Drivers can load as little as $30 to their account and as they drive their balance drops based on miles driven.

According to the Arizona Department of Economic Security, a total of 425,103 Arizonans filed new unemployment claims throughout month of March and the first three weeks of April.

“We are seeing an unprecedented number of people struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic,” said Just’s Founder and CEO Robert Smithson. “Major insurance companies have taken some steps by offering refunds to customers, but for many families a percentage back on a monthly bill that is over $100 per driver is just not enough. Just gives people an option to remain insured while dramatically reducing their monthly costs during this time when people are not driving very much if at all.”

Just can also help save money for households on a regular basis that have low mileage drivers. This can be someone who works from home on a regular basis, retirees who do not drive a lot or someone with multiple vehicles.

Just’s pricing model is based on an advanced in-house telematics model, based on high resolution data from more than 12,000 drivers. By combining driver telematics data with contextual information such as driver fatigue, distraction, traffic flow and weather, Just can predict individual driver risk with higher accuracy than those firms using demographics data alone.
