Eric Hutchins announces new push for humanity's fourth global r/evolution

How can anyone, laboring under any disadvantage, create a more joyful, productive life, help their community become more sustainable and help make the world better for everyone? A lifelong quest to answer this question has lead Eric Hutchins to write a breakthrough book titled, “Becoming Humanity’s Next R/Evolution“ (published by Balboa Press in 2019).

Hutchins believes a growing number are beginning to realize that humanity's incomplete social theories and evermore exotic technologies will not make anyone significantly happier or more productive or make their communities significantly more sustainable. He suggests that "the most socially engaged, forward-thinking 1 percent in each community begin healing the Earth, humanity, and themselves by using at least two of five proven, easily learned techniques."

“Becoming Humanity's Next R/Evolution” offers thorough descriptions of these five techniques for living life to the fullest, making every community sustainable and moving humanity across the threshold of its fourth global r/evolution. The first technique heals the rift between "our surface, thinking minds" and humanity’s inner source of eight important qualities: steadiness, joy, empathy, compassion, generosity, creativity, intelligence and wisdom. The book also describes four additional techniques to help better express these qualities in "our relationships with others, workplace, community and public institutions."

As 1 percent in each community begins expressing more of these qualities in all realms of their lives, social harmony, economic prosperity, and environmental stewardship will begin flowing upward until even the most rigid institutions and system of government are permanently changed for the better. “Becoming Humanity’s Next R/Evolution” declares that "it’s time each of us begins doing things in our lives and communities that elevate and advance both instead of things that don’t.”

About the Author
Eric Hutchins’ lifelong quest has been to live a full, joyful life in a more sustainable world. At university, he read in psychology, sociology and anthropology, and studied social philosophers from Plato, Burke and Paine, to Marx and Gandhi. He also began the daily practice of a traditional, self-transcending form of introspection. From these influences, Hutchins has come to recognize that the key to humanity’s survival is man’s inner wholeness of mind, not the universal embrace of any philosophical, religious or social doctrine, or the global application of physical or digital technologies. For five decades, he has maintained his twice-daily introspective practices, East-West studies of human consciousness and interest in elevating global society by elevating each individual. He lives on the central California coast and may be contacted at
