New Book by Former Miss South Carolina Shows How Golf Parallels Life
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) October 06, 2015 -- In the Front Nine of life, Sherry Bradshaw, a former Miss South Carolina and first runner-up to Miss America, never dreamed she would be trading in her “tiara” for a “caddy’s bib” as she logged in hundreds of hours following all three of their children who played highly competitive golf all the way through college, one who has now turned professional. She is a firm believer that the process of chasing your dreams and maximizing your God-given talent is what shapes, refines, and defines you.
Bradshaw states, “It is not so much winning a crown or golf tournament that brings fulfillment and purpose. As I emphasize in my books, sometimes when you lose, you win.”
Being a “dream chaser” is something Sherry has lived, and is still pursuing. She has learned valuable life lessons on the links as her children have chased their own dreams. Even though her books have titles that reflect golf, the release of her second book, “The Back Nine – Finishing Strong,” teaches principles that apply to every stage of life, regardless of a person’s gifts or talents.
According to Bradshaw, “For anyone who desires to lead a life of significance, it is never too late. It is not how you start, but how you finish!” Her objective is to help the reader tee off to exciting possibilities, develop a winning attitude, choose worthwhile objectives, make lasting commitments, and live with encouragement, determination, gratitude and endurance—which lead to championship living.
The title is the follow up to Sherry’s widely-acclaimed first book, “The Front Nine – Making Your Shots in Life Count.”
Bradshaw, a Clemson University graduate with a degree in Administrative Management, is a popular speaker who has inspired hundreds of audiences at corporate events, schools, churches, and community organizations. Nancy O’Dell, host of Entertainment Tonight, comments, “Sherry is a spunky, vivacious, motivating speaker who brings Southern charm to every message she delivers.” And Dabo Swinney, Head Football Coach at Clemson University, states, “No matter what team you pull for, you’ll want to follow this Tiger.”
Sherry is the founder of Back Nine Ministries (http://www.Back9Ministries.org). She and her husband, Bill, are the parents of three children, Brewer, Thomas, and Collins. The Bradshaws make their home in Columbia, South Carolina.
