BEAUFORT, S.C., Nov. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Readers go on a year and a half journey from 1990 to 1991 with author Judith T. Walenta, NP, in her memoir "Without Hesitation: Following Spirit into Wholeness" (published by Balboa Press AU) as she searches for alternatives to traditional medicine in the treatment of her breast cancer.
Walenta had just embarked on her new career as a nurse practitioner in Manhattan when she is diagnosed with stage one breast cancer. Having avoided conventional medicine for years in her own care, she suddenly finds herself diagnosed with a serious — potentially fatal — disease. At first, her unwavering faith in holistic healing seems to abandon her and she resigns herself to accepting traditional treatment. But when her search begins to uncover alternatives, she rejects surgery and chemo and chooses therapies that heal her mind and spirit, as well as her body.
The author's primary goal in sharing her story is to offer readers "a sense of power and hope, rather than powerlessness and fear that typically accompany a cancer diagnosis."
