Continuing “The New Muse Book Series” author Steven A. Key’s new book “The Secret Yoga of the Vikings: How Odin was Lost” (published by Archway Publishing) explores the link between the cultures of the Eastern Hindus and the Northern Vikings.

“The Secret Yoga of the Vikings” reveals, for the first time in 1000 years, that a cleverly hidden Raga yoga, the God-yoga, was given by the ancient Yogin’s to the traveling Viking Poet-Bards of the 10th century. The author believes Vikings encrypted the deep wisdom into the Poetic Edda, the Viking lore where the Norse gods are discussed. In the book, Key includes a fictional portrayal of how individuals in the two cultures could have interacted with one another.

Key also explores a deep neural underpinning that is also hidden within certain sagas, such as when Odin loses his right eye to gain wisdom. The loss of the right eye, which is associated with the “Ego” of the left brain is associated with the loss of self and the gaining of wisdom via the neural system of what Joseph Campbell called “The Wisdom Body.” Reducing the “Ego” and connecting with the neural feathers of one’s “Wisdom Body” is quintessential yoga of the deepest order, according to Key.

Combining unique approaches to neuroscience, psychology, consciousness, and ancient history, Key created the “New Muse Book Series.” His initial book, “The Secret Yoga of the Vikings,” is the first book of its kind in that it reveals the hidden yoga of the tenth-century Norse poets.
