Sahaala Mireh’s first book entitled “Hope” (published by AuthorHouse UK) tells the story of the title character who grows up poor and is bullied by her classmates because of it. The book is available for purchase at: https://www.amazon.com/Hope-Sahaala-Mireh/dp/1546299769.
Hope lives with her mom and sister Tamara in America. They don’t have a lot of money; it doesn’t seem like a big deal to Hope until one day she gets made fun of at a birthday party because of her clothes. Hope has a rough several years at school until she and her family move to Manchester. Although Hope is sad about leaving her one friend, she gets a fresh start and makes new friends at the new school.
“Some people get bullied because they are different,” Mireh says. “I want (readers) to take Hope’s life and what’s happening to her (and learn from it).”
An excerpt from “Hope”:
Hope was really impressed by the party decorations, but things went a little unexpectedly for her. Everyone wore expensive clothes from the mall, but she was wearing her old, ripped school uniform. Everyone started laughing and giggling at her. Embarrassed, Hope ran out of the hall, crying and regretting what she did.
