The Center for Restorative Breast Surgery (CRBS) and St. Charles Surgical Hospital (SCSH) in New Orleans, are pleased to announce that board certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Cabiling has joined their highly skilled group of surgeons. He brings tremendous experience and expertise to their center which is known globally as a pioneering institution dedicated to the most advanced methods of breast reconstruction and breast cancer care including nipple preserving mastectomy, microsurgical natural tissue breast restoration, lymphedema treatment, and all forms of modern implant-based breast reconstruction. Their groundbreaking work in microsurgical breast reconstruction has advanced the art to improve outcome quality, shorten recovery, and preserve strength as most recently revealed with their introduction of the APEX flapsm soon due for publication in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Cabiling graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He served as a Research Fellow at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before completing his residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete additional training in microsurgery and breast reconstruction at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

He is widely regarded as an expert in his field and is published in numerous medical journals and textbooks. After practicing at the prestigious Ohio State University’s breast cancer treatment center as an Associate Professor over the last 4 years, where his research included the potential of neurosurgical restoration of sensation after mastectomy, he now joins the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery as a member of their world renowned breast care team. “Dr. Cabiling is extremely committed to helping his patients obtain the best possible outcome,” states Dr. DellaCroce. “He is an ideal fit for our team of surgeons, his record speaks for itself, and we are proud to welcome him.”
