New Dental Office, My Town's Little Dentist, Opens in Levittown, NY

Adam Postel, Alyssa Levy, and Jonathan Schecter are pleased to announce the opening of their new pediatric and special needs dental office, My Town's Little Dentist. Dr. Postel is board-certified and Dr. Levy is board-eligible, both in pediatric dentistry, while Dr. Schecter is an orthodontist with an additional two year post-doctoral fellowship in craniofacial and corrective jaw surgery. All of the doctors have specialized training in dentistry for patients with special needs. The team is excited to bring pediatric and special needs dentistry to Levittown and all of Long Island.
About the Doctors
Dr. Postel earned his DMD at UMDNJ-Rutgers Dental School before completing a specialized residency in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in combination with the Rose F. Kennedy Center, where he trained in special needs dentistry. His last year there, his fellow residents and faculty elected him chief resident. Dr. Postel is also certified in sports dentistry and enjoys crafting customized mouthguards.
Dr. Levy earned her BS in biomedical sciences and her DDS from the University at Buffalo. She then completed a specialized residency in pediatric dentistry at Jacobi Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Levy is a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Both pediatric dentists are proficient in laser dentistry having received much additional training in laser dentistry.
Dr. Schecter earned his DDS from New York University College of Dentistry before completing a two-year fellowship in orthognathic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. His work on cutting-edge treatment techniques for children with craniofacial deformities drew a great deal of attention. Dr. Schecter then moved to Stony Brook University for his post-graduate degree in orthodontics. He is certified and experienced in the latest orthodontic procedures including Invisalign and traditional braces.
