VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In light of a rising need to address underrepresentation and inclusion in businesses, AndHumanity — a new diversity and inclusion marketing agency — has officially launched after more than a year in development.
Working to elevate marginalized voices and advocate for change, the Vancouver-based agency has also developed the Brand Inclusion Self-Assessment Tool, which will allow companies and organizations to self-assess gaps and identify improvements in a brand's advertisements, marketing, and communications.
Led by Co-Founders Tammy Tsang and Matthew Tsang, the agency includes a team of four expert advisors — three of whom are Certified Diversity and Inclusion Experts — as well as members from its sister agency, My Loud Speaker Marketing, an international award-winning marketing agency established in 2007.
AndHumanity's primary focus is assessment and consultation before moving towards strategy to ensure authentic brand content highlighting underrepresented voices, which includes but are not limited to: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), LGBTQ2S+, people with invisible or visible diverse-abilities, socio-economic status, age, gender, and the intersection of these lived experiences.
"We realize this list is by no means exhaustive," said Tammy Tsang, Co-Founder of AndHumanity. "Our purpose is for all individuals to truly belong as they are. We as creators are responsible to ensure we are contributing consciously to what goes out in the media."
For the past year, AndHumanity went through extensive training and reformation, while partnering with Diversity and Inclusion Expert advisors, to take an academic approach to inclusive marketing. The advisors include Commons Consulting CEO, Adeline Huynh (she/her); Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Expert and Speaker, Amil Reddy (they/them); Brand and Advertising Research Strategist, Majid Khoury (he/him); and one of Canada's leading diversity and inclusion facilitators, Alden E. Habacon (he/him).
"It isn't simply showcasing different faces on the surface of the ad, it's about telling the stories behind the faces and having that story connect with your target audience, authentically," said Amil Reddy, Allyship Communications for AndHumanity.
