New “Innovations in Mobility” Event from SAE International® Co-locates Eight Previously Held SAE Events

Innovations in Mobility is the industry’s most forward-thinking event for engineers, executives, business development professionals, entrepreneurs, OEMs, suppliers, and decision-makers who need knowledge, insight, and solutions in the ever-changing mobility industry.

SAE International® announces a revolutionary new event for the mobility engineering community – “Innovations in Mobility” will be held Oct. 29-31 in Novi, Mich.

Rapid advancements are challenging the mobility industry with new business models, new methodologies in vehicle development and manufacturing, unprecedented levels of automation, and the need for new infrastructure.

"Innovations in Mobility" is the industry’s most forward-thinking event for engineers, executives, business development professionals, entrepreneurs, OEMs, suppliers, and decision-makers who need knowledge, insight, and solutions in the ever-changing mobility industry. Through three days of expert-led technical education, peer-to-peer networking, and a technology-driven exhibit floor, this hallmark event addresses the fundamental issues faced by the mobility industry amid the rapidly advancing technology marketplace in the critical areas of:

  • Smart Manufacturing
  • Next Gen Materials
  • Advanced Propulsion
  • Smart Mobility and Infrastructure
  • Automated and Unmanned Mobility

The eight previously held SAE International events that will be co-located at “Innovations in Mobility” include:

  • Automated and Connected Vehicle Systems Testing Symposium

  • Co-Optimization of Fuels Symposium

A highlight of the event will be presentation of papers by finalists in the “SAE Student/Young Professional Technical Paper Competition.” All of the finalists are SAE members age 34 or younger. Winning abstracts were selected by SAE International’s Competition Review Panel. Topic areas for technical paper submissions included: Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Advanced Propulsion, Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles, and On-demand Mobility.
