Having been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, doctors believed Elizabeth Beulla would never live a regular life. Her new memoir, “My Revealing Faith: One Woman’s Story of Faith, Hope, and Inspiration” (published by Archway Publishing), shows how she worked to prove everyone wrong.

From the moment she was born, Beulla was surrounded with love. As an infant, doctors broke the news to her mom that she had brain damage and would never walk. While the author was in an incubator, her mother talked to her continuously to encourage her to fight. With the help of her “wonderfully supportive family,” Beulla learned to walk and is able to live a “normal” life. In sharing her story, she also recalls the pain of seeing her parents’ divorce as well as family tragedies. Blessed with a mother who fought for her through prayer, today, the author lives each day waking up thanking God.

“Beginning with my mother’s faith, I learned firsthand that God is in control. Forgiving those who have hurt you opens the opportunity for creating new beginnings,” Beulla says. She adds that she wants readers “To identify a woman who placed her faith in God in every step of her life. Through the heaviest of storms, the sun shall always rise again.”
