LONDON, Oct. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Musing on a variety of topics such as the meaning of life, contentment and inner peace as well as a desire to give a different perspective on the life of a young, black male inspired Nigel Banks to write his debut novel. "The Black Compendium" (published by AuthorHouse UK) is a coming-of-age story about a young man searching for inner fulfilment in his life while navigating various hardships.
Set in London, the book shares David Gustavas Black's journey through life, until his current age of 25. Written from a first person perspective, "The Black Compendium" shows the internal and external challenges David faces in the search for inner peace and contentment. Among other things, the book touches on current issues such as race relations.
"People are looking for an answer to internal peace. I think contentment, not being overly obsessed with external pleasures, is an answer rarely given," Banks says adding that "Happiness from external circumstances is fleeting.."
