Multi-published author Paul D. Escudero marks his return in the literary scene with the release of “Twenty Million Years: The Rediscovery of Earth and Mars” (published by Archway Publishing).
Set 20,000,000 years in the future, this science fiction novel follows the journey of Robot Chirak, a humanoid robot created by installing a computer in place of the brain of a deceased man. Action then shifts to an archeology dig in Moscow, and later Mars. Meanwhile, a galactic menace is slowly taking over all the Empires with just one left to conquer — the Cobasta. In order to conquer the Cobasta, the evil empire (Fubians) must take Earth and make it a Garrison planet halfway to the Cobasta Empire, otherwise the distance is too great for an invasion force.
Eventually the battle at Earth happens and the outcome affects the Fubians because a security person on the Evil Emperor's command ship shoots and kills the Emperor. That ends the conquest of Earth and the Cabasta Empire. Later in the book, Chirak rescues the Emperor's assassin out of prison to reward him for saving the lives of billions of people by ending the war when he killed the evil emperor. The rescued man is given a new identity and is later involved in twists and turns of Chirak's future spy operations as Chirak makes him a partner along with Lana. The Chirak Spy Agency is thus formed that conducts intergalactic spy operations in this book and sequels to follow.
“It has adventure, romance, intrigue, espionage, sabotage, space warfare, Archeology, and speculations of the future of mankind,” Escudero describes. When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, he says, “To think outside the box and not be complacent.”

About the Author
Paul D. Escudero lives in San Diego, California, where he spends his time in the mornings walking at the beach and pondering the universe and mankind. During those long walks, enjoying the marine life and the majestic nature of Earth, he dreams up novels such as “Man of Birds, Traveling to the Stars.” After a career in high-end electronics working with major defense contractors, government agencies, labs, and the military, he now consumes his time writing novels and listening to classical music most of the time. He also loves trains, history, artwork, and casual observation of the multitudes of beautiful people that occupy this planet. He expects to one day meet an alien. Perhaps he did but did not know it?
