New WORX 56-Volt, 24-Inch Hedge Trimmer Delivers Gas-Like Power and Performance
Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) August 23, 2016 -- The new WORX® 56V MaxLithium 24 in. Hedge Trimmer with 24-in., dual-action cutting blades is the most powerful hedge trimmer WORX has ever offered. At 10.1 lbs., this performance-minded green machine weighs less than most comparable gas models, and it doesn’t emit fumes, or have unpredictable startups.
Maintaining boxwood, yew and other hedge and shrub varieties with a healthy trim is good for new growth, as well as aesthetics. You don’t have to be a topiary master to make hedges look pleasing to the eye and the neighborhood.
The balanced, ergonomic trimmer is comfortable to operate. Whether it’s used for shaping or topiary sculpting, the WORX trimmer has plenty of power to get the job done. Since it’s cordless, there’s no fear of accidental extension cord cutting incidents. The trimmer clean-cuts branches up to 3/4 in. in diameter.
The Euro-styled trimmer features a soft grip rear handle and D-shaped front handle for maximum comfort and control. A clear-view, hi-impact hand guard angled in front of the handle provides protection and helps shield the operator from debris. The stamped-steel, smooth-cutting, dual-action, 24-in. blades minimize vibration and reduce operator fatigue, especially during extended use periods. The fully hardened, factory-sharpened blades operate at 2200 strokes-per-minute (spm).
The hedge trimmer has a two-step trigger to prevent accidental start-ups. Other features include a 90 minute charger, durable blade guard cover and wall mount for convenient storage. The battery features a power level indicator that monitors its charge level.
When trimming hedges, it’s recommended to start at the base and work your way up, trimming the sides first and then the top. Focus on light trimming and don’t cut too deep. Identify the variety of the hedge or shrub to determine the optimal time of the year for trimming. Eyeball the desired shape or for a level top, consider running a line of string between two poles, much like a chalk line, to ensure the hedge is even.
Wear eye and hearing protection when using a hedge trimmer. After each use, apply good quality penetrating oil on the blades, then store in the blade guard.
The 56V, 24 in. hedge trimmer is covered by the WORX 3-year warranty.
The WORX 56V Power Share program also includes two lawnmowers, a turbine blower and a trimmer/edger. Each yard tool in the Power Share program shares the same 56V MaxLithium battery.
The WORX 56V MaxLithium 24 in. Hedge Trimmer (WG291, $199.99) is available at http://www.worx.com and other online retailers including Home Depot, Walmart and Amazon.
