News Broadcasting Corporation comes forward to fight Covid-19 crisis

NEW DELHI, April 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- News Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) today announced that with the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the company is not silent and taking all precautionary measures and support while assuring health and safety of its employees and society as part of its Corporate Sustainable Responsibility.

A. Bhowmik, CEO of NBC today wrote to all the employees about company's various efforts in dealing with the ongoing crisis and announced couple of ways NBC is trying to ensure its support to its employees during this hard time. In his email to all his employees he has stated that NBC has already instructed all its employees to work from home except employees who are working in the critical area of their role and all of them are to be provided with adequate resource to ensure safety and hygiene at workplace. NBC has already sourced 7,000 face masks and adequate quantity of sanitizers to be placed across all areas of the work field. New measures of cleaning and sanitation has also been taken which is periodically done in the office campus. Besides the company has also ensured that, adequate amount of hygienic food for consumption and food supplies are being sourced to the office campus so that employees can access and consume such supplies.

"We are living through trying times and your safety and financial well-being is of utmost importance to us. Keeping this in mind employees will also be supported with various other efforts to cope up with the financial crisis and hardships they might face due to the following situation," said CEO Bhowmik and announced for its employees' children education reimbursement in where employees having children studying in high schools and colleges, fees and educational expense would be borne by the company for next two months and employees who are having any kind of ongoing home loan or any personal loan, portion of their Loan EMI would be reimbursed by the company for next one month.

"Besides taking care of our employees, our responsibility also remains for the society where we are living now and we cannot deny the fact about how personnel associated with local and medical authorities, law and enforcement and other emergency services are working tirelessly to save and protect us from the pandemic," said by CEO Bhowmik, while he announced that around 15,000 face masks, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are being sourced for the local health and safety officials and providing them necessary support like food supplies and clean drinking water.

News Broadcasting Corporation has also humbly donated an undisclosed amount to PM CARES fund, West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund and to World Health Organization (WHO) towards the Covid-19 Relief fund as a gesture of small contribution to fight this pandemic that has spread across the world.
