SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 2, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nexcess, a global cloud hosting provider, today announced a new product life cycle strategy to accelerate innovation and give customers access to cutting-edge web hosting services.
Nexcess often introduces hosting platforms and features that combine the newest technology with unbeatable support and reliability. From today, all Nexcess product releases will follow a predictable life cycle with public beta, limited availability, and full public availability phases.
Nexcess' product release life cycle gives hosting customers access to products and features while they are in development. In the public beta phase, upcoming releases are tested and improved before universal deployment, ensuring a seamless roll-out when they enter limited availability and public availability, at which point they are production-ready and fully supported by the Nexcess team.
"Web hosting technology evolves rapidly, but web hosting customers need predictability. They depend on their website or eCommerce store, which represents a substantial investment," said Chris Wells, President and CEO of Nexcess. "Our new product release cycle allows us to build cutting-edge products and features while communicating the status of releases and giving customers the confidence they need to invest in our platform."
Nexcess has also introduced a retirement protocol with a clear roadmap and commitments. The company will provide at least six months notice before retiring major hosting products, provide support until the day of retirement, and offer comparable alternatives where possible.
In the last year, Nexcess introduced an array of new platforms and features, including auto-scaling cloud hosting for WordPress, Drupal, Magento, and ExpressionEngine. Nexcess's commitment to a predictable release cycle allows the company to innovate while providing customers with strong guarantees about the long-term stability of their hosting platform.
