Addition of America’s Cup competitor reflects company’s focus on providing specialized expertise to clients as they manage risk and protect assets

NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides property and casualty, corporate benefits, retirement, and individual solutions, today announced Jeffrey Beneville has joined the company as a senior vice president within its Private Client Group (PCG). NFP’s PCG, which is part of the company’s P&C division, provides customized coverage solutions for clients’ high-value assets, including homes, jewelry, fine art, wine, memorabilia, automobiles and watercraft.

Beneville brings more than 35 years of marine insurance expertise to NFP. He joins the company from Willis Towers Watson, where he served as a senior vice president focusing specifically on insurance solutions for superyachts and megayachts. Beneville’s insight is informed by his international competitive sailing career, which includes two America’s Cup matches (America II in 1987 and Stars & Stripes in 1992). His ability to identify complex liabilities and provide access to specialized risk management solutions has made him a trusted advisor for clients around the world. Beneville will report to Gil Lai, managing director of NFP’s PCG.

“It’s exciting to welcome Jeff to NFP and provide our clients with access to one of the world’s leading authorities in the space,” said Lai. “The global yacht market continues to grow and having Jeff on the team will help guide clients as they explore superyacht and megayacht purchases and coverage solutions.”

“NFP clearly values highly specialized expertise and understands why it’s so important for clients,” said Beneville. “Purchasing and insuring a yacht are complex undertakings, and when you have the right insight and relationships you enhance your ability to achieve your objectives. I look forward to being part of the NFP team and bringing that value to clients.”
