SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP) is proud to announce the promotion of Ngoc Bui-Tong – formerly Vice President, Strategies and Analytics – to the newly-expanded position of Chief Health Equity & Strategies Officer.
As Chief Health Equity & Strategies Officer, Bui-Tong will drive and support implementation of the overarching strategy and operational goals to promote and embed health equity, diversity, and inclusion across all health plan operations. This position expands Bui-Tong's current responsibilities for strategies, analytics, and risk adjustment and helps carry out SCFHP's duties in its updated Medi-Cal contract with the Department of Health Care Services.

Bui-Tong joined SCFHP in 2012. From 2001-12, she was a member of the senior leadership team at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in the Ambulatory and Managed Care Division, directing financial and operational analysis and developing and implementing programs to improve program performance. From 1995-98, Bui-Tong worked at MassHealth, Massachusetts' Medicaid Office, developing managed care programs for children with special health care needs. From 2010-12, Bui-Tong chaired the Vietnamese Reach for Health Coalition, a local organization that promotes health equity among Vietnamese Americans in the county.
Bui-Tong received a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan, School of Public Health and an undergraduate degree from Tulane University.
