You would never understand.’ ‘What is there to understand? Does a brother kiss his sister? Does a brother caress his sister?’ ‘Of course not,” he said, “but you are not my blood …’ ‘How can you say that?’ she asked. ‘You wiped my nose when I was a little girl; you dropped me off at school, played with Tunde and I. Above all, you are married, and I have a fiancé. I don’t get it. You are a pastor …’ ‘Stop it, Tife. You don’t need to remind me. I know all of this. But I love you more than words can say. I see nothing wrong in loving you, Tife.’”
