Nike Field Hockey Camp Director, Laura-Ann Lee, Named AEC Coach of the Year
Laura-Ann Lane, Head Coach at Gwynedd Mercy University and Director of a top Nike Pennsylvania Field Hockey Camp, was just named the 2018 Coach of the Year for the AEC (Atlantic East Conference).
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This will be Laura-Ann Lane's second time receiving the award with the Griffons, her first in the AEC conference, and the fifth overall. Coach Lane is going into her thirteenth season with Gwynedd Mercy and has continuously led the field hockey team to five conference championships and seven NCAA tournament appearances.
Fresh off of her stand-out season, Coach Laura-Ann Lane will continue to host the Nike Field Hockey Camp at Gwynedd Mercy University, a favorite among all field hockey day camps in PA. With day and evening program options, this girls summer camp attracts players from all-skill levels looking to improve their fundamentals, increase their confidence, and receive high level training from a well-seasoned coach.

In addition to her coaching awards, this past season, Coach Lane had seven players receive All-Conference honors, with two receiving Rookie of the Year and Co-Defensive Player of the Year. These elite players helped their team reach a perfect conference record of 5-0 for the 2018 season, earning the ranking of 7th in the DIII NCAA Regional Rankings for the South Atlantic.
