SAN RAFAEL, Calif., April 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- US Sports Camps Inc. recently announced the addition of youth golf camps in greater Sacramento, CA to be held at Catta Verdera Country Club. Catta Verdera will offer full day and half day camp options for junior golfers of all skill levels. The programs are structured to improve the skills of each player in a healthy, positive learning environment. Paul Shorts, PGA head golf professional, and Phil Dawson, PGA professional, are leading the camps with other local instructors assisting on staff.

Phil Dawson is a Class A PGA professional and former touring player. He has over 20 wins as a professional player and played collegiate golf at Sacramento State University. As a coach, he has worked alongside Top-50 Golf Digest teachers Laird Small, Dean Reinmuth, Dick Harmon and Keith Lyford. He is TrackMan certified, Blast certified and a Nike NG fitness instructor. Phil has taught many junior players who have continued on to play collegiate and professional golf and is energized by helping juniors improve.

Catta Verdera offers extensive practice facilities including a three-tiered, all-grass range to provide the best possible conditions for campers to improve their game.
Nike Junior Golf Camps at Catta Verdera Country Club will offer two camp sessions in 2019. Session I dates are July 23 – 26 and Session II is slated for August 6 – 9. The morning Half Day Camps run from 9:00am – Noon and include range and short game/putting instruction with the camp staff. This option is geared towards beginner and intermediate players, ages 7-13. The Full Day Camps run from 9:00am – 4:00pm and include morning instruction followed by lunch and afternoon course play each day. This program is geared towards low-intermediate to advanced-level players, ages 9-16. All participants receive a camp amenity package (Nike Golf hat, SRIXON golf balls, drawstring bag, camp workbook and more).
