Nike Junior Golf Camps and the University of Denver Golf Teams Offer Summer Camps in Highlands Ranch, Colorado

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 12, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- University of Denver Golf recently announced the addition of Nike Junior Golf Camps at their home course in Highlands Ranch, Colorado for Summer 2020. Hosted by the DU Men's and Women's Golf coaches, Nike Junior Golf Camps at University of Denver Golf Club are open to players of all ability levels who want to improve their skills in a collegiate golf environment and have fun in the process.

"The camp at University of Denver Golf Club is an incredible opportunity for our campers to receive instruction from Division I coaches, while also playing one of the area's most beautiful public courses," says Westy McQueen, National Manager for US Sports Camps. Mikayla Tatman, assistant coach for DU Women's Golf, is set to direct the programs along with Women's Head Coach, Lindsay Kuhle, Men's Head Coach, Erik Billinger, and Men's Assistant Coach, Brandon Wilkins. The staff will consist of current DU players. In recent years, both the Men's and Women's programs have been very successful in their respective conferences, as both teams won their Summit League Championship in 2019 and the Women's program has appeared in 18 straight NCAA Regional Championships.

University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch is a semi-private, university-owned golf club and is the home course of the Denver Pioneers golf programs. Located south of Denver in Highlands Ranch, the par-72 championship course boasts bentgrass greens and panorama views of the Rocky Mountains. From the back tees, the course plays just over 7,700 yards and challenges each golfer at this high elevation property.

The Nike Junior Golf Camp at University of Denver Golf Club is set to run one week of full day camp in 2020, open to players of all ability levels ages 9-17. The camp runs 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, and includes morning instruction covering all facets of the game, followed by lunch, and afternoon course play/instruction with the camp staff. This program is open to any and all entrants, limited only by age, gender and number.
