SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cypresswood Golf Club, a public 36-hole championship golf facility, recently announced it will serve as the newest official Nike Junior Golf Camps location in the Houston area. PGA Director of Better Golf at Cypresswood, Tirrel Baymon, is excited to host juniors from across Houston to join in for a week of fun activities and top-notch golf instruction.
Tirrel Baymon directs all instructional programs at Cypresswood GC and has been a teaching professional at Cypresswood since 2010. Tirrel is an accomplished coach and competitive player, playing golf on a full scholarship at Florida A&M. Tirrel began his teaching career working for the First Tee of Houston and has conducted clinics and group instruction with KJ Choi and Stewart Cink.

Cypresswood Golf Club is a public 36-hole golf facility with expansive practice facilities and a full clubhouse and pro shop. The club has played host to numerous amateur and professional events including 2nd Stage of PGA Tour School, the Southern Texas PGA Eastern Championship, the Shell Houston Open Qualifier and several Futures Tour Events. Cypresswood is one of the most highly regarded daily fee golf complexes in The Houston Texas Market Area. Nike Junior Golf Camps at Cypresswood Golf Club is set to offer full and half day camps for three weeks in Summer 2020. The full day camps are offered from 8:30am to 4:00pm and include three hours of daily instruction on all facets of the game, lunch and on-course instruction in the afternoons. The half day camps run from 8:30am – Noon daily and offer morning instruction and fun skills competitions for prizes (when available).
