SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nike Running Camps has added middle distance training to the June 22-26 Nike Malibu Camp as well as a middle school segment to the July 6-10 Cross Country Camp at Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA. The Nike Malibu Middle Distance/XC Camp is run by Head XC and Track & Field Coach Sylvia Mosqueda on the beautiful, coastal Malibu campus with training runs on nearby running trails.
Coach Sylvia Mosqueda has 32 years of professional running experience combined with 26 years of coaching experience. Sylvia Mosqueda is a five-time Olympic Trials Qualifier from the 800m-marathon.
The addition of middle-distance training camp will include specific training fundamentals on racing the 800m-Mile. This camp is geared toward high school middle distance and XC runners.
Due to popular demand, Nike Running Camps are proud to announce the addition of a middle school segment to the July 6-10 XC Camp. Middle school runners will have educational breakout sessions geared for their age group, are housed separately and have different evening activities than those offered to the high schoolers.
The Nike Malibu Camp is coed, ages 12-18, all ability levels. Runners are grouped for their runs based on average pace and fitness.
Runners from across the U.S. come to experience the gorgeous Southern California setting with world class coaching. Pepperdine University commands a majestic view of the world-famous Malibu Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The summer camp combines a beautiful, safe location with a staff consisting of college coaches, college runners, and other qualified instructors.
